Ben Tiefenbach

Ben Tiefenbach is a skilled professional with a diverse background in software engineering and viticulture. Currently serving as the Winegrower/Owner of Havencrest Vineyard since January 2024, Tiefenbach manages the cultivation of Blaufränkisch and Pinot Gris. As a Software Engineer - Enterprise Lead Systems at Urban Science since October 2016, Tiefenbach has led significant projects such as database/app server migration and building front-end UI components in Angular. Additionally, Tiefenbach manages Lone Silo Vineyards, overseeing the growth of cool-climate varieties on the Old Mission Peninsula. Previous roles include Contract Software Engineer at Traverse Custom Coasters and Mobile Application Developer at BORIDE Engineered Abrasives. Tiefenbach holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Michigan State University, completed in 2016.
