Jessica Steel has an extensive work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Jessica started their career in 1997 as a Sr. Manager at Fannie Mae, where they worked until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they served as the Director of Business Development at Yahoo, where they coordinated international business development and established distribution partnerships for the company's search marketing services.

In 2004, Steel joined Pandora Media, Inc. as the Executive Vice President of Business and Corporate Development. Jessica played a crucial role in pivoting the company's focus towards consumers and overseeing the launch of Pandora personalized radio. During their tenure at Pandora, the company became the most popular Internet radio service with over 200 million registered users.

After leaving Pandora in 2012, Jessica Steel worked as an Advisor and Investor at Back to the Roots LLC, a start-up consumer products company. Jessica assisted the founders in strategy and business development to uphold the company's vision of making food personal again.

In 2013, Steel took on the role of President at UrbanSitter, an online service connecting parents with trusted babysitters. Jessica provided a platform for parents to search, book, and review sitters quickly and easily.

In 2016, Jessica Steel became an Advisor at Daymaker Giving, a peer-to-peer gifting platform that allows parents to teach their children the joy of giving. The platform enables kids to request donations instead of gifts for their birthdays while RSVPing to their parties.

Additionally, Steel has acted as an Advisor and Investor at Rivet Ventures since 2013, contributing their expertise and guidance to the company.

Jessica Steel completed their undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1996, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Subsequently, in 1997, they pursued further education at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they obtained a Master of Science degree.
