Wage: $22 - $25 (dependent on experience)
Job Description
Description: Sushi concept inside Urban Hawker Food Hall seeking sushi chef. Experience: 1- 3 years of experience in a comparable position.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Complete opening and closing procedures in a timely manner.
- Prepare dishes according to recipes and company standards.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in daily preparation.
- Teamwork- Work with members of service team.
- Organized, Detailed, Precise, Punctual & Reliable are Paramount.
- Ensure cleanliness of the overall station.
- Perform hourly, daily, weekly cleaning, and prep tasks.
- Ability to maintain the highest standards Food Safety and Sanitation practices with attention to detail.
- Having a positive attitude, being a team player and being presentable as a chef.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and plating presentation
- Familiarity with different types of fish and ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple orders simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and food safety regulations Physical abilities:
- Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
- Ability to communicate well and maintain positive interpersonal relations with co-workers and guests.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Restaurant opened Monday to Sunday
