Ronald R. Fritzemeier

Rear Adm. Ronald Fritzemeier is a native of Camino, California. He received a direct commission as an ensign in the U.S. Navy Reserve in 1985. He completed engineering duty qualifications in 1988 while assigned to the Albuquerque-based Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard unit. Fritzemeier holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, from California State University, Fresno.

Fritzemeier currently serves as director of U.S. Strategic Command’s NC3 Enterprise Center. In this capacity he oversees NC3 operations, maintaining enterprise-wide visibility, assessing comprehensive operational and technical risk, and – with NC3 stakeholder’s partnership – develops and advocates future capabilities, architectures, and risk management options. In his first flag assignment, he served on active duty as chief engineer for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, now known as the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), leading Navy efforts in cybersecurity, information architectures, and digital engineering. Fritzemeier is an Information Warfare qualified engineering duty officer with prior key assignments, including: special advisor to Commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command; Naval Sea Systems Command Chief of Cybersecurity; commanding officer, SPAWAR Charleston (Reserve); and commanding officer, Naval Research Laboratory Space Engineering (Reserve unit).

As a federal senior executive, he has led both technology development and intelligence operations covering the globe in support of national security. During the last two administrations, he served on the President’s Cyber Interagency Policy Committee.

His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit, Navy Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal.
