Mary Emmons has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Mary started their career in 2002 at the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, where they held positions such as Departmental Specialist and Departmental Analyst (Grant Coordinator). During their time there, they successfully directed recruitment and retention efforts for schools and parks, resulting in Michigan becoming the most successful state in the school target archery program within two years. In 2012, Mary joined USA Archery and held positions including Outreach Director and Chief of Sport Performance and Organizational Development. In these roles, they collaborated with leadership and stakeholders to implement strategic plans and develop athlete development programs. Mary currently serves as the Chief of Sport Performance and Operations at USA Archery.
Mary Emmons has a diverse education history. Mary first attended Indiana State University from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Recreation and Sport Management. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Park, Recreation and Tourism Resources from Michigan State University, completing their studies from 2002 to 2004.
In 2016 to 2017, Mary enrolled in the Team USA Leadership Certificate Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. This program provided their with additional knowledge and skills in team leadership, although no specific degree name was mentioned.
Mary has also obtained the Level 3-NTS Archery Coach certification from USA Archery. The details of when they obtained this certification are unknown.
