Hyla Emery

Hyla Emery is an experienced IT Technical Director at USAA since 2014, leading software development teams to enhance product offerings and member services. Prior to this, Emery served as the Director of Software Quality Assurance at MedAssets from 2011 to 2013, where responsibilities included directing quality assurance processes and spearheading the migration to a new test case management system while implementing automation solutions. At Zix Corporation, from 2004 to 2011, Emery addressed product challenges and improved documentation practices. Earlier roles included managing software development teams at FlexJet and leading a software team at Raytheon, with foundational experience gained as a Software Engineer at Texas Instruments. Emery holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida.
