Marisa Scala-Foley has a diverse range of work experience in the field of aging and disability services. Marisa has served as the Director of the Aging & Disability Business Institute at USAging since 2018, where they focus on building the business acumen of community-based organizations in order to improve access to quality services for older adults and people with disabilities. Prior to this, Marisa worked at the Administration for Community Living from 2014 to 2016, where they held various roles including Director of the Office of Integrated Care Innovations and Team Lead for Business Acumen and Health IT. Marisa has also worked as a Social Science Analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Marisa has experience at the National Council on Aging, WebMD, American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, and Scripps Gerontology Center, MIami University, where they held roles focused on benefits outreach and enrollment, Medicare education, and consumer direction in home and community-based services. Throughout their career, Marisa has demonstrated a commitment to improving the health and well-being of older adults and people with disabilities.

Following this, from 1993 to 1995, Marisa Scala-Foley attended Miami University, where they obtained a Master of Gerontological Studies degree, specializing in Gerontology.
