Dan Borgen

Dan Borgen is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President at USD Group. Dan has over 20 years of experience in the software industry. Dan Borgen started their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Blackbaud in April 2021. Dan worked with Unity and C# to develop family-friendly games. In October 2020, they joined ClopasLLC as a Game Developer. At ClopasLLC, they created a Content Management System written completely with Blazor Web Assembly and an ASP.NET/CosmosDB backend. Dan implemented an OAuth 2.0 and Open ID Connect authentication/authorization system using Identity Server 4, using both Client Credentials and Authorization Code flow depending on usage. Dan also implemented a RESTful API for websites to call and get their data, secured with OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials flow. Dan created an associated set of NuGet packages for those websites using .NET. In addition, they implemented a Visual Editor which allows the user to edit the website from a view that allows them to click paragraphs, headers, images, etc, and change them on the fly, similar to other content management systems. Dan also implemented custom data modules which can be added to either auto-generated or custom pages, allowing the developer to build a page around the data and the user to simply input the data. Dan Borgen has also implemented many other functions such as integrated analytics charts, scheduling, email notifications, downloading code templates for developers

Dan Borgen earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Dan also has a Minor's Degree in Mathematics from the same school.
