Sydney Oshuna-Williams is a proactive leader and creative professional with extensive experience in cooperative economics, financial literacy training, and arts education. As a Co-Founder of The Black Art Vanguard since March 2023, Sydney empowers communities through innovative initiatives. In the roles of Usher's New Look GEAR UP Academy Program Coordinator and Financial Literacy Trainer, impactful sessions have been conducted for middle and high school students. Sydney has also served as a Resident Assistant and Peer Mentor at Bard College, providing guidance to underrepresented students. Additional experiences include creative roles as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia University, an intern with MACRO, and as a Creative Director Fellow for Black Imagination. Sydney holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Film and Electronic Arts and Philosophy from Bard College, further complemented by a high school diploma in Theatre.
