Randy Smith is an experienced project manager with a strong background in the forestry and electrical industries. Currently serving as a Project Manager at USNR since March 2015, Randy leads significant projects including a $35 million sawmill upgrade and a $45 million biomass initiative aimed at converting wood fiber into electricity. Previous roles include Project Manager at West Fraser Mills Ltd. from October 2012 to February 2015, and Maintenance Superintendent at Sundre Forest Products for over 18 years, where Randy managed substantial maintenance budgets and ensured compliance with health and safety policies. With earlier positions as a Journeyman Electrician and Electrical Supervisor, Randy possesses extensive hands-on experience in the electrical field, contributing to both maintenance and construction projects across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Educationally, Randy holds a Journeyman Electrician degree from Red Deer Community College and a Grade Twelve Diploma from Hamiota Collegiate Institute.
