Laura Gast, DrPH MPH MGIS, currently serves as the Manager of Data Science & Analytics at USO, where strategic leadership is applied to Development Operations Analytics and Reporting, focusing on fundraising data and reporting automation. Previously, Laura held various roles at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, including Technical Advisor, where contributions included developing a national health insurance costing database and launching monitoring dashboards for HIV medication training. Additional experience includes consulting on malaria elimination strategies in South Africa, leading research projects in Botswana, and serving in roles that encompass geospatial analysis for malaria research and machine learning applications at NASA. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, an MPH from Brown University, a Master’s in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State University, and a BS in Microbiology and Biology from Kansas State University.
