Angie Alvey is the current Vice President of Alpine Academy at UTAH YOUTH VILLAGE. Angie has also previously served as a Student Director at Social Venture Academy and a Management Analyst at the San Antonio Housing Authority.
Angie has always been driven by a desire to help others. This motivated their to pursue a career in social work, where they could directly support individuals and families in need. Angie soon recognized the potential for organizations to effect large-scale change, and shifted their focus to organizational development and management.
At the Social Venture Academy, Angie oversaw the daily operations of student-run organizations and guided their strategic development. Angie was also responsible for creating benchmark reports on caseworker effectiveness for the San Antonio Housing Authority. Her experience researching best practices for department organization and case management led their to their current role at UTAH YOUTH VILLAGE.
As VP of Alpine Academy, Angie is responsible for the overall operation and management of the residential treatment program. Angie is passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Under their leadership, Alpine Academy has become a nationally-recognized leader in residential treatment, known for its innovative approach and commitment to providing high-quality care.
Angie Alvey completed their Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Brigham Young University in the field of non-profit/social innovation. Angie also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in communications from Brigham Young University, with a focus in communication and media studies.
They are on a team with Chris Meacham - VP of Properties, Wayne Arner - Director of Families First, and Christopher Holfeltz - Director of IT. Angie Alvey reports to Shanna Draper, President. and Christian Egan - Director of Alpine Academy reports to Angie Alvey.
