Joseph DiMelis

Joseph DiMelis has over 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, holding various leadership positions in companies such as SBC Communications, Pacific Bell, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, Spectrum, Ziply Fiber, and Utilities One.

Their most recent role is as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (EVP/COO) at Utilities One since December 2021, where they are responsible for improving operational efficacy, developing customer relationships, and engaging team members to achieve business goals.

From 2020 to 2021, Joseph served as the Vice President of Fiber Design and Construction at Ziply Fiber, overseeing the planning, design, and construction of a fiber network for 350K customers.

Joseph was also the Area Vice President at Spectrum from 2016 to 2019, managing technical operations and construction functions for the Eastern North Carolina Market Area.

Prior to that, Joseph held various leadership roles at Time Warner Cable and AT&T, including Vice President positions in construction, engineering, installation, repair, and special services.

Joseph started their career in 1986 at SBC Communications and Pacific Bell, where they gained extensive experience in different leadership roles before joining AT&T.

Joseph DiMelis completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Management and Finance from the University of San Diego from 1987 to 1989. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Materials & Logistics Management from Michigan State University from 1981 to 1986. In 2015, Joseph also attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where they completed the SCTE Executive Education program.
