Sampath Premarathana

Sampath Premarathana is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in Java and related technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Java Developer at Utvecklarbolaget since April 2022, Sampath is involved in the PT/TT SWS project for Scania, focusing on feature development and cross-team coordination. Previously, Sampath worked at Virtusa as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant, leading a development team on microservice-based applications and enhancing performance in spring-based applications. Earlier roles at Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd included Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer, where Sampath contributed to the full development lifecycle, designed enterprise applications, and developed Java/JEE and Android applications. Sampath holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Colombo.
