Arpit Kumar Behera is currently a Product Engineer at V-Labs since July 2022, following a role as a Master Thesis researcher at the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics from July 2019 to July 2022. The master's thesis focused on image-based pulsar classification using simulated pulsar data under the supervision of Dr. Bhaswati Bhattacharya, resulting in the discovery of pulsar J2059-48 and the development of an in-house ML algorithm based on TensorFlow. Additionally, Arpit contributed to various research projects that enhanced the accuracy of ML algorithms for pulsar classification, analyzed solar data, and discovered a new supernova remnant. Arpit has also gained experience as a summer intern at notable institutions, including the Indian Institute of Science, where projects ranged from developing gas detectors to automating pulsar searches using UNIX/Bash programming. Arpit holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science and a Master's degree in Physics from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
