Alexander van Loon

Alexander Van Loon is an experienced patent attorney currently serving as a member of the public relations committee at the Orde van Octrooigemachtigden since April 2022. With a strong background in patent law, Alexander has been employed at V.O. Patents & Trademarks since February 2015, where responsibilities include drafting patent applications, conducting prosecution work, and analyzing third-party rights. Prior experience includes a role as a patent attorney at Octrooibureau LIOC from August 2005 to December 2014, focusing on patent application drafting, litigation, and prosecution work, as well as a freelance position as a translator for patent documents. Alexander holds a Master of Science degree in Cell Biology from ETH Zürich and a Master of Science in Biology from Utrecht University.
