David Nguyen

David Nguyen is a seasoned Senior Staff ASIC Design Engineer at Sigma Designs, with a tenure beginning in November 2007. At Sigma, David leads technical efforts across methodology, synthesis, physical design, and physical verification, successfully overseeing the tape-out of complex chips, including Z-Wave and RF IoT. Prior to this role, David served as a Senior ASIC Design Engineer at Renesas Electronics Corporation from August 1997 to October 2007, where responsibilities included providing customer support for synthesis processes and acting as the primary technical liaison for major clients such as Cisco and HP. David's career began as a Design Engineer at Hewlett-Packard from January 1996 to August 1997, focusing on ASIC and FPGA design and verification. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, obtained between 1993 and 1995.
