Alex Kabalin

Alex Kabalin is an experienced executive in retail and asset management, currently serving as the Executive Director of Retail at V&A Waterfront since 2012. In this role, Alex leads the development of a comprehensive retail strategy and provides strategic insights to foster sustainable growth. Prior to this, Alex held the position of Head of Leasing & Asset Management at Shaftesbury Capital PLC, overseeing the Covent Garden portfolio and achieving significant rental increases and successful retailer attraction. Alex's career also includes positions in asset management, retail analysis, and financial operations across various organizations, demonstrating a strong capability in managing complex portfolios and driving operational efficiency. Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.
