Fred Arasteh

Fred Arasteh, PE, PMP, currently serves as the Manager of Reservoir Engineering at VAALCO Energy, Inc. since April 2019, after holding various positions including Supervisor of Reservoir Engineering. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Reservoir Engineer at BHP, where leadership in reservoir surveillance and collaboration with cross-functional teams led to significant well performance improvements. At ARASCO Energy Consulting, Fred contributed to optimizing well designs and schedules, while prior positions at Weatherford, Hess Corporation, and ExxonMobil involved strategic management in subsurface evaluations and resource estimations, resulting in improved project efficiencies and production outcomes. Fred holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Montanuniversität Leoben.
