Mika Suihkonen

Mika Suihkonen has extensive work experience in quality assurance and project management. Starting in 2006, they worked as an IT support for IBM in Dublin, Ireland. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Quality Consult at Qentinel Oy. Mika then joined Symbio in 2010 as a QA Manager, where they provided test process consulting and test planning. In 2012, they joined ComIQ Oy as a QA Consultant and took on roles such as Test Manager and Technical Project Manager. Mika was responsible for test management, requirement management, and documentation. In 2018, they became the Head of Quality Assurance at Aktia, where they held the position until 2019. Currently, they are working as a QA Manager at VALA Group Oy, taking the lead in a global program for developing a new platform for customers.

Mika Suihkonen completed their education in the field of software engineering. From 2002 to 2007, they studied at LAB University of Applied Sciences, where they earned a degree in Software Engineering with a focus on Computer Software Engineering. In 2004-2005, they also spent a year at Edinburgh Napier University, pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Mika has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2007, they received the ISEB - Foundation / ISTQB foundation certification from Endero. In 2008, they became a Certified ScrumMaster from Danube. In 2010, they obtained the ISEB - Intermediate certification from Symbio. In 2014, they completed the Prince2 Foundation certification from Wakaru Oy. In 2015, they acquired the Projektityön perusteet (project management basics) certification from Projekti-instituutti. Lastly, in 2016, they obtained the Advance project management certification (Syventävä projektipäällikkövalmennus) from Suomen Projekti-Instituutti Oy.
