Svyatoslav Korneev, Ph.D.

Svyatoslav Korneev, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Svyatoslav currently serves as a Principal Researcher at Valar Labs since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at PARC, a Xerox Company, where they held the position of Senior Research Scientist from August 2022 to December 2022, and Research Scientist from October 2018 to August 2022. At PARC, they led the development of new mathematical models and computational tools for additive manufacturing technology, involving customer communication, research leadership, publication of academic papers, and generation of intellectual property.

Before joining PARC, Svyatoslav held roles at Stanford University, starting as a Physical Science Research Scientist from November 2017 to October 2018, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from January 2017 to November 2017. Their responsibilities included the development of physical models, performing simulations, and analyzing CT-scan images.

Further back in their career, Svyatoslav worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at San Diego State University-California State University from March 2015 to December 2016. During this time, they focused on developing algorithms for image processing and segmentation of tomographic images for geological samples. Svyatoslav also contributed to the development of computational methods for reactive transport in heterogeneous porous media.

Svyatoslav's experience also includes a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at King Abdullah University of Science & Technology from February 2012 to February 2015. During this time, they conducted research on gaseous detonations in supersonic flows and published a paper in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics.

Additionally, Svyatoslav worked as a Research Associate at the Institute for Spectroscopy Russian Academy of Sciences from July 2008 to March 2012. Prior to that, they were a Data Scientist at Procter & Gamble from July 2005 to September 2007.

Following this, they furthered their academic journey at the Russian Academy of Sciences, where they attained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Svyatoslav completed their doctoral studies from 2008 to 2011.
