Brandon Smith

Brandon Smith, P.Eng, is an experienced mining engineering professional currently serving as Manager of Mines Technical Services at Vale since July 2019, having previously held the positions of Chief Mine Engineer and Mine Engineer within the same organization. Prior to Vale, Brandon worked at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited as a Junior Engineer, focusing on the design of the ventilation system at LaRonde Mine from 2018 to 2019, and gained hands-on experience at Glencore Nickel as a Mining EIT, conducting rotations in various mining functions in 2016 and 2017. Brandon began their career at Vale as a Mining Engineering Intern in 2015 and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne.
