Samuel Kennedy

Samuel Kennedy is a Senior Data Scientist at Valero since February 2017, specializing in causal inference, hypothesis testing, and anomaly/failure prediction. Previously held roles at Valero include Senior Business Intelligence and Business Intelligence, focusing on refinery discrete simulation modeling, ML economic forecasting, ML-driven root cause analysis, and data visualization. Samuel's experience also includes an internship as a Financial Analyst at Keel Point Advisors in 2015 and service in the US Army from June 2008 to July 2012 with the 1BN 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment. Samuel earned a Master of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor's Degree in Pure Mathematics and Finance from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
