Rico Zemp

Rico Zemp has over 12 years of work experience in various roles related to information security and penetration testing. Rico'smost recent position was as an Information Security Officer at Valiant Bank starting in June 2023.

Prior to that, Rico worked at Selution AG from March 2020 to June 2022, where they were a Teamleader Security and Senior Penetration Tester.

From January 2017 to March 2020, Rico worked at Auditron GmbH as the COO, Senior Penetration Tester, and Trainer. Rico was passionate about sharing knowledge in this role.

Rico also worked at Verkehrsbetriebe Luzern vbl from March 2016 to December 2018 as an IT Security Engineer and IT System Engineer.

Rico's career began at Lake Lucerne Navigation Company in March 2009. Rico worked there for seven years as part of the Schifffahrtsgesellschaft des Vierwaldstättersees (SGV) AG.

Rico Zemp's education history includes various certifications and degrees in the field of information security. In 2008, they obtained the MCSA / MCITP certification from Digicomp in Zürich. In 2011, they earned the CEH certification as a Certified Ethical Hacker and the ECSA certification as an EC-Council Certified Security Analyst, both from Digicomp. In 2012, they received the CHFI certification as a Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator and the FCNSA certification as a Fortinet Certified Network and Security Associate, also from Digicomp. From 2013 to 2014, they attended Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, earning a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in Information Security. Finally, in 2016 to 2017, they further advanced their education at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, obtaining another CAS in Information Security.
