Cory Shoemake

Cory Shoemake has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Cory currently works at Validus Energy as a Business Development Manager since July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Self Employed/Independent Contractor - Business Development at Tenmile Resources, LLC from March 2021 to July 2021.

Cory also has extensive experience at Chesapeake Energy, where they held multiple roles over a span of 10 years. Cory served as a Manager - Surface Land from December 2019 to February 2021. Before that, they were a Manager - Land BD & Exploration from June 2018 to November 2019, and a Sr. Staff Landman - BD & Exploration from November 2015 to May 2018. Cory also worked as a Land Supervisor from March 2014 to October 2015, and as a Staff Landman from November 2010 to March 2014.

Prior to their roles at Chesapeake Energy, Cory worked as an Associate Attorney at Chamblee, Ryan, Kershaw & Anderson, P.C. from March 2009 to September 2010.

Throughout their career, Cory has gained valuable experience in business development, land management, and legal affairs.

Cory Shoemake began their education by earning a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma between 1996 and 2000. During their time there, they focused their studies on Marketing and History. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to pursue a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the Texas A&M University School of Law from 2003 to 2006.
