Darlene Salmond

Darlene Salmond has extensive work experience in various finance and management roles. Darlene started their career in 1990 at CoBank as a Loan Services Coordinator, where they managed a $150MM loan portfolio and oversaw foreclosure processes for multiple branch offices. In 1998, they joined Monson Savings Bank as a Loan Coordinator, handling home equity and residential mortgage processes.

In 2000, Darlene joined Diversified Metals, Inc. and held the positions of Controller/Comptroller and later Vice President / Treasurer until 2018. In these roles, they managed all aspects of accounting, including income statements, balance sheets, and trial balances. Darlene also oversaw subsidiary companies and worked with CPAs on audited year-end statements and income tax returns. Darlene maintained accounts receivable and accounts payable, analyzed expenses, and approved vendor checks.

From 2018 to 2021, they served as the Vice President of Finance at Diversified Metals/Wieland Werke AG, where they were responsible for financial matters.

Most recently, in 2022, they joined Valley Communications Systems Inc. as the Human Resources Manager.

Darlene Salmond earned a Certificate in Human Resource Series from the Employers Association in 2002. Prior to that, they attended Holyoke Community College from 1998 to 1999, studying Accounting and Finance. In 1990, they also obtained an Accounting Degree from St. John's School of Business.
