Laurel Brubaker

Therapeutic Day Treatment Behavioral Specialist at Valley Community Services Board

Laurel Brubaker is currently a Graduate Assistant at James Madison University, where mentoring first-generation undergraduate students in the Centennial Scholars Program is a primary responsibility. With extensive experience in therapeutic services, Laurel serves as a Therapeutic Day Treatment Behavioral Specialist at Valley Community Services Board, providing school-based support to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. Previously, Laurel held various roles, including Outdoor Learning Center Seasonal Facilitator at Endless Horizons and Intern with North Carolina Outward Bound School, leading wilderness expeditions for at-risk youth. Laurel earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from James Madison University in 2015, complemented by a minor in religious studies, and plans to pursue a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.
