Richard Lamb has been in the business and finance sector since 1974. RICHARD began their career as a Controller, Director of Administration, and Reinsurance Accountant/Manager for Cal Eagle Insurance Co; Mission Insurance Group; General Reinsurance Corp. In 1987, they opened their own part-time income tax and financial consulting practice, Richard Lamb,MBA, where they provided business management, income tax, and financial planning and preparation services to small business owners and low-to-mid income level individuals in California, Texas, and the East Coast. In 1993, they became a Senior Accountant/Office Manager for Stanley Adler,CPA. From 1998 to 2005, they served as Controller/Director of Finance for SFVAR-New Horizons, where they were responsible for overall supervision, recruiting and training of accounting, finance and MIS Staff, oversight of cleaning up general ledger discrepancies, and establishment and oversight of internal controls and accounting procedures. RICHARD was also a member of the executive team in strategic planning and policy implementation, and negotiated with outside CPA’s and governmental auditors as chief liaison officer. From 2005 to present, they have been a Sr. Business Consultant then Program Manager for VEDC, where they teach technical assistance training classes and provides one-on-one business consulting services to new and existing small business owners in many areas of business operations including finance, accounting, marketing, management, human resources, business and marketing plan preparation, and loan packaging. RICHARD also manages staff in one location and oversees budgets and expenses for two locations. RICHARD is currently the Director of Business Services for VEDC.
Richard Lamb obtained their MBA from California State University, Northridge in 1999 and their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Admin-Accounting from the same university in 1996.
