Mike Devlin started their career as the President of The Guru, a self-employed role from 1995 to 1998. Mike then worked as a Network Administrator at Tealuxe, Inc. from 1999 to 2000. Mike joined Boston.com as a Senior Unix Systems Administrator in 2000 and worked there until 2010. In this role, they managed a large number of servers and network devices in a cross-platform environment. From 2010 to 2016, Mike was the Manager of Operations at The Boston Globe, where they supervised a team of system administrators and maintained infrastructure across multiple data centers.
In 2016, Mike joined NBCUniversal Media, LLC as a Senior Information Security Incident Response Analyst. Mike was involved in handling security issues, desktop malware, and phishing email analysis. Mike also conducted research and built custom dashboards and alerts. From 2018 to 2019, Mike worked at Intralinks as a Senior Security Engineer. Mike played a key role in the company's Global Information Security team, dealing with various security-related issues and leading the migration of the mail infrastructure.
In 2019, Mike joined Haven as a Senior IT Engineer and later became the Director of Information Technology from 2020 to 2021. At Haven, they were responsible for corporate IT, security events, desktop provisioning, application deployments, and mobile device management. Currently, Mike works at Valo as the Lead Security Engineer and serves as the Associate Director. Mike started this role in 2021 and continues to contribute to the company's security efforts.
Mike Devlin attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology for computer science in 1999. Mike did not obtain a degree from the institution. In addition to their education, Mike Devlin obtained two certifications from the SANS Institute. In June 2008, they received the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC). Later, in December 2016, they earned the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification.
