Tanvir Amit

Tanvir Amit has extensive experience in the field of analytical chemistry. Currently, at Valo, they hold the position of Scientist, Subject Matter Expert - Analytical Sciences and Purification. In this role, their responsibilities include providing support to the discovery program through the development of chromatographic methods for small molecules, proteins, and DNA conjugated systems. Tanvir also manages compound purification workflows and operates and maintains analytical instrumentation. Prior to joining Valo, Tanvir worked as a Senior Scientist at Averica Discovery. Tanvir also has a background in academia, having pursued a PhD in Analytical Chemistry at the University at Buffalo.

Tanvir Amit has a strong academic background in chemistry and chemical engineering. Tanvir obtained their Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Dhaka in 2010. Tanvir then pursued a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from South Dakota State University, graduating in 2015. To further their expertise in the field, they enrolled at the University at Buffalo and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Analytical Chemistry in 2020.
