Jay Chen

Jay Chen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies in the software engineering industry. Jay is currently working as a Software Engineer at Valon since July 2022. Prior to this, Jay worked as a Product Partner at Afore Capital starting from December 2018. Before joining Afore Capital, they were employed at Stripe as a Software Engineer from May 2020 to July 2022.

Jay's earlier experiences include working at Uber Advanced Technologies Group as a Software Engineer. Jay held this position from April 2015 to March 2018, with additional roles within the company's Rider/Driver Matching and Uber AI Labs teams. During their time at Uber, Jay also contributed to research and published papers.

Before Uber, Jay worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook from August 2013 to April 2015. Jay started their professional career as an Undergraduate Researcher at the UCLA Department of Computer Science from September 2012 to March 2013. Additionally, Jay gained experience as a Software Development Engineering Intern at Microsoft during the summer of 2012.

Jay Chen attended UCLA from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
