Predrag Pez Zivic

Predrag "Pez" Zivic has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and risk management.

Predrag "Pez" currently works as the Technical Solutions Director in the Office of the CTO at Valtix, which is now part of Cisco, starting in January 2022.

Prior to their current role, Pez served as the Global Security Solutions Architect at Pensando Systems from July 2017 to January 2022. In this role, they focused on edge computing and distributed services security, introducing technology to global financial, service providers, and pharmaceutical clients.

From January 2016 to July 2017, Pez worked as a Global Systems Engineer at Palo Alto Networks. In this position, they provided security solutions to large global financial institutions, including contextual application identification, user identification, content identification, and advanced threat protection.

Before their role at Palo Alto Networks, Pez worked at f5 from December 2011 to January 2016 as a World Wide Solutions Architect. During this time, they developed Service Defense in Depth, implemented WAF and application delivery firewalls, and conducted malware research and protection development.

From November 2010 to December 2011, Pez served as a Senior Security & Risk Advisor at Rogers Communications. Predrag "Pez" advised the VP of Security on major projects, managed threat risk assessment processes, and implemented security with different teams.

Prior to Rogers Communications, Pez worked at Canadian Tire from September 2009 to March 2011. Predrag "Pez" developed SEIM solutions, presented a threat correlation paper at a security conference, and built and managed a security team of eight.

Pez also held the position of Security Architect at Loblaw Companies from January 2009 to August 2009.

Earlier in their career, Pez worked at Scienton from March 1999 to August 2008 as the COO. In this role, they organized and managed security and risk management practices, developed practice strategies, and managed a group of nine professionals.

Additionally, Pez worked at SSHA as a Security Consultant from 2006 to 2007 and at Platinum Technologies (acquired by CA in 1999) as the National Technical Manager for Security from 1998 to 1999. In the latter role, they managed pre-sale and post-sale projects for Platinum's security line of products and led a team of seven professionals in Canada.

Predrag "Pez" Zivic obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BScEE) from the University of Belgrade, where they attended from 1982 to 1991. No further information regarding the specific field of study was provided.
