Chris de Beer

Chris de Beer is an experienced investment professional currently serving as an Investment Manager at Value Capital Partners since July 2021, leveraging a private equity approach to enhance shareholder engagement in public markets. Prior experience includes a significant role as an Investment Analyst and Investment Banking M&A Transactor at Rand Merchant Bank from January 2017 to July 2021, focusing on the TMT and Industrial sectors, and specializing in M&A transactions, IPOs, and company restructures. As a Growth Capital Transactor, Chris contributed to on-balance sheet growth equity investments in technology, notably working on the investment into InQuba. Additionally, Chris co-founded DBH Capital, a firm dedicated to supporting early-stage businesses in South Africa. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Honours) in Accounting and Business/Management from The Open University and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) specializing in Financial Management from Varsity College.
