Taylor Boyd

Taylor began his appointment at Van Andel Institute Graduate School in October 2021. Taylor’s experiences in higher education have focused on Learning Outcomes Assessment, Strategic Planning, Regional and National Accreditation, and Student Affairs initiatives. Most recently, Taylor served as the Assessment & Accreditation Specialist in the Office of the Provost at Grand Valley State University. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology from Appalachian State University and a Master’s of Education from Grand Valley State University.

Taylor joins the Van Andel Institute Graduate School as the Director of Assessment and Professional Development. He is responsible for the assessment, evaluation, and continuous improvement of courses and programs, professional development opportunities for graduate students and undergraduate interns, and compiling and analyzing data for reporting. Taylor will also serve as the Graduate School’s Accreditation Liaison Officer where he will oversee activities related to researching, editing, and co-authoring compliance reporting for the Higher Learning Commission.
