Kate Pedersen

Kate Pedersen has a comprehensive work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. Kate currently holds the position of Senior Estimating Engineer at Van Elle, which they began in January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at J. Murphy & Sons Limited as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer from April 2019 to January 2023, and as a Geotechnical Engineer from September 2018 to April 2019. Before that, Kate was a Geotechnical Engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley | MMB from September 2015 to September 2018. Kate also has experience at Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions, where they held the position of Geotechnical Engineer from September 2012 to September 2015, and Design Engineer from January 2008 to September 2012. Kate's earlier experience includes working as a Geotechnical Engineer at Allied Exploration & Geotechnics from June 2007 to January 2008. Their responsibilities in this role included soil and rock logging, supervision of drilling and testing works, groundwater monitoring, and reporting.

Kate Pedersen earned a BSc in Civil Engineering from The University of Bolton, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a BSc in Geology and Physical Geography at the University of Liverpool from 2002 to 2005.
