Managing Director Financial Risk Management at Van Lanschot Kempen NV

Martijn Schrijvers has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Martijn started their career in 1996 as a Consultant at the International Labour Office (ILO) before moving on to various roles at the Dutch Central Bank, including Policy Advisor, Economist, Portfolio Manager, and Risk Manager. In 2003, they worked at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) as an Economist. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Trader/Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Martijn then returned to the Dutch Central Bank in 2008, where they held positions such as Head of Reserve Management Services and Strategist, Head of Prudential Risk Section and Examining Officer, and Head of Mission. In 2016, they joined Van Lanschot Kempen as a Manager and was later promoted to Managing Director positions, overseeing financial risk management and group risk management. Martijn's roles involved leading teams, implementing risk policies, and conducting on-site investigations in the banking sector.

Martijn Schrijvers completed their Masters in General Economics and Development Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam between 1991 and 1996. In 2015, they also pursued a brief course in Business Administration and Management, General at INSEAD.
