James Hackett

James Hackett has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles.

James started their career at the United States Postal Service in 1995, where they held various positions such as city letter carrier, distribution clerk, window clerk, mail processing clerk, and interim supervisor. James worked at the USPS in Williamsport, PA; San Antonio, TX; and Dayton, OH until April 2004.

In 2008, James joined Walmart as a Grocery Department Manager and worked there until August 2011.

In 2014, they began working at KPMG US as a Tax Associate from July to September. James then transitioned to the role of Senior Audit Associate from November 2014 to November 2016.

Since 2017, James has been employed at Van Metre Companies, where they started as a Senior Accountant from January to October. James was then promoted to the position of Corporate Assistant Controller from October 2017 to December 2021. Currently, they hold the role of Corporate Controller, starting in December 2021.

James Hackett has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage, which they completed between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they attended Penn State University from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics. In addition to their degrees, James Hackett holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Virginia Board of Accountancy, which they obtained in October 2016.
