Patricia Purcell, CLS, MBA, FACHE has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Patricia most recently served as the Associate Vice President Enterprise Laboratory at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director Carolinas Laboratory Network at Atrium Health from December 2016 to June 2022.

Before joining Atrium Health, Patricia worked at Mercy Health System of Maine as the Sr. Director of Ancillary & Ambulatory Services from June 2008 to December 2016. Patricia also served as the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory at Rutland Regional Medical Center from November 2005 to June 2008.

Patricia's career began at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg, where they held the position of Director, Clinical Laboratory and Radiology for over 10 years, from 1994 to 2005.

Patricia Purcell holds a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, which they obtained in 2012. In addition, they received an Associate's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology between 1982 and 1984. Patricia also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Texas A&M University.
