Kerry Gallagher

Kerry Gallagher serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Vanguard Consulting and Services Pty Ltd, where responsibilities include government lobbying in the medical sector, organizational profile enhancement, and strategic communication. As the CEO of the Australian Society of Ophthalmologists since May 2009, Kerry represents the interests of Australian ophthalmologists. In addition, national leadership is provided as the President of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam Association, which supports veterans and their families. Previous roles include Director at Specialist Connect Pty Ltd and Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Medical Association Queensland. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree from the Royal Military College Duntroon and attendance at the United States Army Command and General Staff College. Kerry’s military career spanned from 1965 to 1994 with various leadership roles in the Australian Defence Force.
