Michael R. Dannecker

Michael R. Dannecker has extensive work experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the field of environmental underwriting. Michael R. currently holds the position of Vice President - Underwriting - Environmental at Vantage Risk Companies since August 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance from January 2016 to August 2023, where they held various roles including Vice President, Assistant Vice President, and Senior Underwriter. From July 2014 to December 2015, Mr. Dannecker worked as an Underwriter at XL Catlin, specializing in environmental insurance solutions. Michael R. also served as the Branch Manager at Apex Companies, LLC from June 2011 to June 2014, and as a Senior Project Manager at ATC Associates, Inc from November 2006 to May 2011.

Michael R. Dannecker received a degree in Environmental Policy Studies & Resource Development from Michigan State University in the College of Natural Resources. Michael R. also completed a program in Commercial Real Estate & Real Estate Development at Cornell University. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Race Officer & Judge from US Sailing.
