Simon Reite has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically in reservoir engineering. Simon started their career as a Private Drill Guard in the Norwegian Armed Forces from October 2012 to September 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Sales Representative for Milrab.com, where they gained sales experience until December 2018.
In June 2016 and June 2017, Simon interned at Statoil, now known as Vår Energi, in production and reservoir engineering roles. Simon then joined Point Resources as a Reservoir Engineering Intern from July to August 2018, and later transitioned to a full-time Reservoir Engineer position from September to December 2018.
Since December 2018, Simon has been working at Vår Energi as a Reservoir Engineer. Simon has shown growth and expertise in their field, progressing to the Senior Reservoir Engineer role from July 2022.
Simon Reite completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Petroleum and Process Technology at the University of Bergen (UiB) from 2013 to 2016. Simon then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Petroleum Technology, specializing in Reservoir Physics at the same institution from 2016 to 2018. In addition to their academic qualifications, Simon obtained several certifications related to petroleum engineering and reservoir management. Simon completed training courses in Integrated Production Modelling (IPM) from Petroleum Experts in November 2019, Petrel Reservoir Engineering from NExT Schlumberger in September 2019, OFM Reservoir Optimization from NExT Schlumberger in March 2019, INTERSECT Reservoir Simulation from NExT Schlumberger in February 2019, OFM Production Performance and Forecasting Analysis from NExT Schlumberger in November 2018, and OFM Fundamentals from NExT Schlumberger in October 2018.
