Cashel Rice, MS, CGC

Cashel Rice, MS, CGC has diverse work experience in various roles. Currently, they serve as a Clinical Genomic Variant Scientist and Genetic Counselor at Variantyx since April 2021. Previously, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow, Associate Editor, and Teaching Assistant at Boston College from January 2017 to May 2019. Additionally, they had an internship at EChO - Eradicate Childhood Obesity Foundation, Inc. from April 2017 to August 2017. Early in their career, they worked as a Sailing Instructor at Corinthian Yacht Club from July 2011 to August 2016.

Cashel Rice, MS, CGC completed a Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling/Counselor at MGH Institute of Health Professions from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Boston College, spanning from 2015 to 2019.

In addition to their academic achievements, Cashel Rice holds several certifications. They have obtained a license as a Genetic Counselor from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in April 2022. They are also a Certified Genetic Counselor by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) since March 2022. In October 2019, Cashel obtained training in CITI Human Subjects Research from Mass General Brigham. Finally, they achieved certification as a Level 1 Instructor from US Sailing in 2014.
