Mackenzie Johnson

Mackenzie Johnson is a video producer and editor at Variety. Prior to their current position, they worked as a digital implementation manager at PPD. In this role, they were responsible for directing the technical and operational aspects of eConsent, eCOA, and digital enablement projects for BioTech and top 20 Pharma companies. Mackenzie was also the line manager for a fully remote digital implementation team and worked with clinical operations and functional leads to identify and evaluate fundamental issues on the project, interpret data on complex issues, make sound business decisions, and ensure solutions were implemented. Mackenzie also monitored and analyzed project status to ensure successful completion of project parameters, milestones, and timetables. In addition, they provided sponsors with timely project updates, project-related fiscal information, ensured correct protocol interpretations, and obtained direction and feedback on implementing scope of work. Mackenzie has a long history of success in coordinating activities of all functional departments and vendors involved in projects, as well as managing all financial and contractual aspects of studies.

Mackenzie Johnson has a Bachelor of Science in Global Community Health and a minor in Psychology from George Mason University. Mackenzie also has a certificate in Advanced Exercise and Sports Nutritional Advisor from The Health and Sciences Academy. In addition, they have certification from the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center) in Health Literacy Training for HRPP & IRB Members & Staff, from THE FACULTY OF PHARMACEUTICAL MEDICINE OF THE ROYAL COLLEGES OF PHYSICIANS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM in ICH-GCP, from PPD in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification, and from The Health Sciences Academy in Advanced Sports and Exercise Nutritional Advisor.
