Jouni Pennanen

Jouni Pennanen has extensive work experience in the field of antennas and RF technology. Jouni is currently employed as a Principal Engineer - RF & Antennas at Varjo since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Huawei Technologies from 2016 to 2021, where they held the position of Principal Engineer - Project Manager - Antennas. Jouni'sresponsibilities included the development of antenna technologies for future architectures and cross-functional project management. Jouni also worked at Microsoft from 2014 to 2016 as a Senior Engineer - Antennas, leading the antenna concepting team for flagship phones. Before that, they had a long tenure at Nokia, starting from 1998, where they held various roles such as Senior Specialist - Antennas, Specialist - Antennas, Senior Design Engineer - Antennas, and Design Engineer - Antennas.

Jouni Pennanen completed a BScEE degree in Research Technology in Telecommunications from Kymenlaakson ammattikorkeakoulu, University of Applied Sciences, from 1994 to 1998. In 1997, they participated in a summer exchange program at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where they focused on antenna array simulations.
