Sebastian Schebesta

Sebastian Schebesta is an experienced professional in electrode development and lithium-ion battery technology. Since June 2008, Sebastian has served as the Manager of Electrode Development and Prototyping for Lithium Ion Cells at Varta Microbattery, focusing on electrode and battery development, material and process research, project management, and product development. Prior to this role, Sebastian was a Project Manager at VW-VM Forschungsgesellschaft from December 2009 to December 2017, where responsibilities included the development of automotive battery cells in collaboration with Volkswagen AG. Earlier experience includes a role in research and development at Sartorius Stedim Biotech, focusing on electrode chemistry for HT-PEM fuel cells, and a position at Alvatec Production and Sales GesmbH, involved in getter technology and fuel cells. Sebastian holds a Dr.rer.nat. degree in Chemistry from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, obtained between 1993 and 2003.
