Andrew Maxey has over 12 years of professional experience in the engineering, sales, and business sectors. Andrew began their career in 1998 as a Mechanic and Retail Sales at City Bike Shop, Inc. in Traverse City, Michigan. In 2005, they became a Coach at Mt. Holiday Ski and Recreation Area. In 2006, they started at Carrier Corporation as a Sales Engineer and then moved to Air Reps LLC as a Sales Engineer. In 2009, they began working at Lohmiller & Co. / Carrier West as a Commercial Sales Engineer. In 2011, they worked as VP Engineering for both CO2Nexus Inc. and FeyeCon USA, Inc. In 2013, they started at Enserca Engineering as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and then in 2014 at IPS Engineering / EPC as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer. That same year, they also co-founded Vartega Inc. as Co-Founder & CEO. At Vartega, they led C-suite leadership to develop business strategy, finance operations, and secure equity investment to support growth goals and return value to stakeholders. Andrew also grew the team to 13 employees with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, established organizational milestones and metrics, scaled recycling technology, directed the development and scale-up of post-processing technology, engaged technical and business leaders across the value chain, proposed and negotiated complex deals, and coordinated participation in trade shows and industry conferences.

Andrew Maxey's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, which they obtained between 2002 and 2005. Prior to that, they attended Northwestern Michigan College between 2001 and 2002, where they studied Engineering. Andrew also holds certifications from LinkedIn, the State of Washington, the State of Colorado, and the Green Building Certification Institute, including a Composite Design and Manufacturing 01: Process and Materials certification (2022), an Engineer-in-Training certification (2007), a Professional Engineer certification (2011), and a LEED AP Building Design + Construction certification (2009).
