Slade McSheehy is an experienced educational leader with a career spanning over two decades in various roles within school districts. Currently serving as Superintendent for Vashon Island School District since July 2018, McSheehy previously held the position of Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at Hockinson School District from July 2012 to May 2018, along with a role as Middle School Principal. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Principal at Prairie High School in the Battle Ground School District and various positions in student support services and counseling across multiple districts, including Evergreen, Long Beach Unified, Compton Unified, and La Mirada/Norwalk Unified School Districts. McSheehy holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Washington State University Vancouver, earned between 2005 and 2009.
