Giovanni Salvi

Giovanni Salvi, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Central Controlling at Vattenfall, overseeing the Central Controlling of the Business Area Customers & Solutions since April 2017. Salvi has held several roles within Vattenfall, including Director Business Control Valuation (Acting) and Manager Valuation, leading teams of Investment Analysts across multiple countries and managing significant valuation initiatives. Previously, Salvi worked as a consultant at DEVnet, focusing on software requirements and valuation models for gas contracts. Salvi’s academic background includes a postdoctoral position at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and a Ph.D. in Mathematics for Economic-Financial Applications from the same institution, complemented by MBA studies. Salvi's educational journey features international experiences at the University of Calgary and California Institute of Technology.
