Uchenna Kalu

Uchenna Kalu, M.Sc., EIT, is a project manager at VAW Systems Ltd. since December 2023, with a robust background in engineering and project management. Prior experience includes serving as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Manitoba, where responsibilities encompassed engineering communication and various mechanical laboratories. Uchenna also participated in the Mitacs-Lab2Market program as an entrepreneur lead, focusing on STEM research commercialization. Previous roles at Saipem included project engineer and lead subsea engineer, where Uchenna managed communications, project planning, and engineering design for subsea and offshore oil and gas projects. Earlier experience includes positions at Dangote Cement Plc as a power plant engineer. Uchenna holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, a Master’s degree in Facilities Planning and Management from the University of Lagos, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
