Derek Johnson

Derek Johnson, CCDM has a strong background in clinical data management and extensive experience in overseeing various aspects of data management departments. Derek is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Data Management at Vaxcyte, where they are responsible for overseeing all clinical data management aspects of the company. Prior to that, Derek worked as a Consultant in Clinical Data Management at Denovo Biopharma. Derek also served as the Director of Clinical Data Management at Angion, where they had similar responsibilities as in their current role.

Before joining Angion, Derek held the position of Director of Data Management at Inflamax Research Inc. DBA Cliantha Research, where they oversaw all aspects of the data management department, including clinical data management, medical coding, budget forecasting, and bid defense presentations. During this time, Derek successfully planned and managed projects, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for all clinical data management deliverables. Derek also developed the department infrastructure to ensure compliance with SOPs, government regulations, GCPs, and GCDMPs.

Prior to Inflamax Research, Derek served as the Director of Clinical Data Management at PRACS Institute and as the Senior Manager of Clinical Data Management at PRACS Institute, Ltd. Additionally, they worked as a Data Management Consultant at Catalyst Clinical Research.

Derek Johnson, CCDM, completed their Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Clinical Data Manager certification from the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM).
